We’ve begun 2017 by laying the foundations for ambitious plans and attending a host of uplifting creative events. This month, we’re attending London Fashion Weekend Festival 2017 at its brand new venue The Store, not for the purposes of staring starry-eyed at a runway of very lithe-looking ankles in very pointy-looking shoes, but to speak with and draw inspiration from like-minded and inspirational women.
This year’s industry talks programme features a stellar line-up of entrepreneurs and creatives representing the likes of the world’s largest forces in fashion, art and lifestyle. With tickets still available and the Fashion Weekend talks programme kicking off on 23rd February, we’ve picked out a selection of conversations, Q&A’s and panel sessions that are not to be missed.
Curator of the UK’s first Balenciaga exhibition taking place at the V&A this spring, Cassie Davies-Strodder, will discuss one of the great names in sartorial history. In this talk, she’ll examine the painstaking craftsmanship behind Cristóbal Balenciaga’s designs and assess his extraordinary influence on the fashion industry today.
