Artist and maker Anna Beam is based in east London by way of Baltimore, Maryland. Having moved to the UK to study Embroidery at the Manchester School of Art, Anna’s shop and portfolio now showcases a pastel-hued mix of print, textile and tapestry, ceramics and more. Designing and crafting wearable pieces, utilitarian objects and homewares, her creations range from limited edition totes to prints and planters.
A founder and member of various collectives, which have seen her exhibit and undertake residencies from Salford to Dessau, Germany and Liverpool to Lisbon and Barcelona, Anna also regularly showcases her work in the UK and works as a freelance prop maker and hand embroiderer.
A member of Clay Collective and ATC studio, her Instagram is a wonderful feed of works in progress, abstract patterns, studio shots and pieces up for sale in her shop. So, whether you favour a minimalist ceramic piece adorned with colourful Memphis-inspired brushstrokes, a textural shoulder bag complete with colourful detailing or a vibrant print for your studio or office wall, Anna’s handmade creations are well worth a look.
