You know when you see something lovely and can’t stop yourself letting out a little sigh of admiration? That’s how we feel about geo-fleur‘s creations. Fusing art and nature to produce design-led pieces that centre around cacti and succulents and other long-lasting shrubs, the tiny (yet rapidly growing) business specialises in terrariums, planters and vases of the minimalist and geometric variety.
The daughter of a florist, geo-fleur’s founder Sophie Lee is a regular at the craft fairs and pop-up events we regularly frequent so we’re no strangers to her ever more beautiful designs, arrangements and creations. We know how many hours go into creating and nurturing living art, how much hard work and how happy botanical buddies on our desks, in our homes and around our studios make us happier and healthier. For these reasons and many more, we’d love for you to lend geo-fleur your love and support.
Having launched a Kickstarter to propel the business into dream territory, geo-fleur is now aiming to raise funds that will enable the inception of a vibrant London shop space filled with flowers, succulents, cacti and artwork and purchase a nippy Volkswagen Caddy van to make deliveries and market trips that much easier. No more public transport also means more workshops across London for the likes of us; an idea we’re very keen on.
A few extra ideas include ceramics, welding and metalworks courses at geo-fleur’s local Blackhorse Road Studios, perfect for beginners looking to make pots, receptacles and terrariums of their own. The possibilities really are limitless. With a host of covetable reward bundles on offer, this may be the most generous Kickstarter we’ve ever come across. It’s not every day you see such a beautiful array of items on offer in tandem with such an inspirational idea.
We’ll be digging deep and pledging as a little Christmas gift to geo-fleur and hope that you’ll all do so too. We’re eagerly awaiting good news and a trip to a brand new shop where our heart’s desires await us in the form of planters, pots, kokedama and more terrariums than we’re ready for. With two weeks to go, let’s help geo-fleur grow, find out more here, discover more about rewards and pledge away.
