Introducing a thrilling series of editorial features and one lovely film from the folks at Inkygoodness in collaboration with UK retailer Argos. My Tablet & Me has readied us for a weekend of creativity and discovery and we’re excited to share it with you. This collaborative project shines a light into a group of artist’s studios, revealing how today’s illustrators think and work, and how tech affects their marvellous creations.
Three up & coming creatives have opened the doors to their homes and studios, letting Inkygoodness in to take a look around. As we explore their creative processes, these creatives give expert advice and share information about essential tools for productivity through the use of hand held tablets. We love having a peek into creatives’ studios and finding out about the real life situations and tools that affect freelancers and those working in the creative industries, so found this film particularly illuminating, as well as inspiring and really very sweet.
Graphic designer Alex Fowkes, comic artist Kristyna Baczynski and illustrator Andrew Groves go about their daily routines while exploring the creative capabilities of three best selling tablets; the Samsung Galaxy 3, Apple iPad and Google Nexus. Visit their haunts across the U.K and explore each artist’s distinctive style and unique approach to image-making.
You can read Inkygoodness’ great set of interviews with these guys on the My Tablet & Me page. Wonderful illustrator Kristyna Baczynski shares her thoughts here, Andrew Groves, creator of the fantastic Miscellaneous Adventures (featured in our January Wish List) talks shop here, and Alex Fowkes, graphic designer extraordinaire speaks to Inkygoodness here.
