Joe Rogers, who also goes by his creative pseudonym Colourbox, is a freelance illustrator whose playful images employ a healthy mix of materials and technique. A jazzy hodge-podge of colour and subject matter, Joe’s work yields a great sense of fun.
One look at the Colourbox website is an assurance that this creative is not one to shy away from a challenging project. Joe’s work makes use of a variety of media, from woodcuts to ink illustrations, showcases a multitude of collaborations and inspirational themes and has earnt him glowing reviews.
With reams of good press already bigging-up the Colorbox name, i’d like to turn your attention to a new creative venture set up by Joe, the Colourbox Boutique. This natty little online shop features a great collection of limited-edition items and prints by the artist.
Hand-painted porcelain treats bearing bright original design-work transform the odd bowl and salt-shaker into stand-out things of beauty. A self-confessed ceramics nut, I am a little bit in love with this section of the shop.
A sweet selection of linocut, risograph and woodcut prints also make up Colourbox Boutique’s killer inventory of illustrated products and all seem a total steal at under twenty quid each. Bravo.
